Transform your life with Nutritional Therapy

About Me

Transform your life with Nutritional Therapy

About Me

Nutritionist for Digestive Health & Hormone Balance

Amy Arter, Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, Nutritionist, Lancaster, PA

My goal is to empower you to address the root cause of your symptoms while restoring confidence in your body’s ability to heal so you can thrive in every aspect of your life!

I’m Amy Arter, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner based in Lancaster, PA, working with women virtually across the U.S. I specialize in helping women who struggle with digestive issues (like bloating, gas, or IBS), fatigue, and hormonal imbalances uncover the root causes of their symptoms and restore balance through personalized nutritional therapy.

Along with tailored nutrition & lifestyle plans, I also offer functional testing—including comprehensive blood test analysis and the GI-MAP stool test—to get a clearer picture of what’s happening in your body. These tools help us identify nutrient deficiencies, gut imbalances, and hormone challenges so we can create a targeted plan that supports your energy, digestion, and overall health.

Together, we’ll work on restoring your energy, balancing your digestion, and supporting long-term hormone health—so you can feel like yourself again.

A Foundational Approach to Wellness.

It’s a daily choice, not a shortcut, and it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making small, consistent changes that add up over time. I take a holistic approach, focusing on the five key foundations of health: a nutrient-dense diet, digestion, sleep, stress management, and blood sugar regulation.

Nutrient Dense Foods

Fuel Your Body with Nutrient-Rich Foods That Heal

A nutrient-dense diet is the cornerstone of good health. It’s not just about eating fewer calories or cutting out food groups—it’s about filling your plate with a variety of whole, unprocessed foods rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and antioxidants. It’s not just about eating fewer calories or cutting out food groups—it’s about filling your plate with a variety of whole, unprocessed foods rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and antioxidants. These nutrients provide your body with the fuel it needs to thrive, support cellular repair, and protect against illness. When you nourish your body with colorful vegetables, quality proteins, healthy fats, and fiber-rich carbohydrates, you’re giving yourself the best chance to feel energized, focused, and resilient every day.

Digestion is where your body extracts the essential nutrients from food and transforms them into energy and building blocks for repair and maintenance. If your digestion isn’t functioning properly, you’re missing out on the full benefits of even the healthiest foods. Poor digestion can lead to nutrient deficiencies, fatigue, inflammation, and a compromised immune system. It’s crucial to support your digestive system with proper hydration, fiber, probiotics, and mindful eating habits. When your gut is healthy, your body can better absorb the nutrients it needs to thrive.

Prioritize Sleep

Restore Your Body Through Deep, Quality Sleep

Poor sleep, on the other hand, affects everything from digestion to blood sugar regulation, mood, and even your immune system. Prioritizing sleep helps regulate your stress response and keeps your body functioning at its best.

Blood sugar regulation is key to maintaining stable energy levels, sharp focus, and balanced moods. When blood sugar spikes and crashes throughout the day—often caused by processed foods or skipping meals—it can lead to fatigue, irritability, cravings, and even hormonal imbalances. Consistently high blood sugar levels can also contribute to inflammation and long-term health issues like insulin resistance. Keeping blood sugar steady involves eating balanced meals with a mix of healthy fats, proteins, and fiber-rich carbohydrates.
